WOODLAND Haiku

Dappled greenness gently hung

Round shifting shapes

Sunlight on lamb-soft turf

Beech columns reach cathedral-like

The deep blue above

A swaying mellow dome

Lichen rich leaf mould

Bare-boned bark in chiaroscuro

Forest’s ancient scent

Lovely evocative description of woodland; a piece of escapism in these miserable winter days.

A beautiful combination of words and picture.

Love these! Makes me long for the summer woods. Wish I could be so precise and evocative in such few words… 🙂
